An itinerary in search of a strategy

Donald Trump's statements on his recent 12-day visit across five nations in Asia is tough to be deciphered and evaluated. One can easily notice a hold back resistance to the expansive ambitions in euphemisms in the speeches- for instance the use of words like 'freedom of navigation' and 'condemnation of predatory economic practices which is used alongside the America's commitment to democracy, human rights and free trade. In comparison to the US-Philippines commitment to share the best practices together against drug usage, the statements appear highly confusing. The US President Donald Trump gave a good overview of the good relations and new friendships he had during the visit and stated that he enjoyed the receptions to the maximum. US has trade deficits with all the five countries and it was during the visit that Mr. Trump told four of them that U.S. won’t be tolerating it in the same platform. He specifically referred to putting China, Japan, South Korea and Vietnam in the similar court. Amidst these conflicting and outlandish statements, Mr Trump also stated that the conflicts that arise among the countries in Asia would prove as a good opportunity for profit making in his perspective. That’s confusing for sure.
