It also stated that the Delhi Development Authority is also responsible for the degradation as it wrongfully gave the permission to the organization to conduct the event. The DDA is directed to evaluate the damage done by the event and the AoL organization should pay for the damages and restoration process of the floodplains. The AoL now will have to pay for the actual damages instead of the earlier proposed Rs. 5 crores. The NGT has been correct from initial time itself in evaluating the issue. Though the AoL remained calm and also showed indifference and contempt, it knew it was to be blamed for the damage done. the delay in the judgment also caused as the event was backed by famous political leaders and the political response has been well regarding the event. This cause more issues for the NGT but eventually it brought to book the polluter and ruled it to pay for the damage.
