Repair and Recover

The Nepal PM would crop up many complaints against India- from the Mahakali Multipurpose project signed with India in 1996 to the ill effects to Nepali traders and businessmen during the implementation of 2016 demonetization move. This is the time Nepal would take the standoff situation between India and China to observe which among the two favours its help and support to Nepal and would act accordingly. India and Nepal would also sign many MoUs and agreements to convey the message that India is really a friend. It is in the hands of the Centre to make Nepal understand that India is all about the best interests of Nepal and the people of Nepal can always see it as a friend. India would have to keep its head out of the internal affairs of Nepal and focus on creating good diplomatic bilateral ties with Nepal- that's a tough thing to do.
